Genesis Utilities operates an approved contractor verification process designed to ensure the contractors engaged for each project hold the appropriate qualifications, competencies and accreditations for the works they undertake.

Our contractor network includes appropriately qualified personnel across gas, water, electricity and associated infrastructure works. Relevant requirements may include GIRS, WIRS and/or NERS accreditation and scope as applicable, Gas Safe qualifications, WIAPS, WaterSafe, CHAS and Constructionline requirements, depending on the project and scope of work.

For works associated with electricity, gas and water distribution infrastructure, contractor competence and authorisations are checked against the requirements applicable to the work being undertaken.

Personnel working through approved contractors and subcontractors are required to hold the relevant qualifications, competencies and authorisations appropriate to the work they undertake.

Approved contractors are subject to Genesis Utilities' contractor verification process, which includes review of relevant qualifications, competencies, insurance and applicable industry accreditation requirements. These may include CHAS and Constructionline requirements where relevant.
